Favourites: My Perfume Collection

I think I have accumulated enough perfumes to go on with a specific post showcasing some of my favourite scents and why I love them.

I'm not someone who is particularly fond of very bold, strong scents. I get a very bad headache with strong odours as it is, so something heavy won't make the cut for me.

However, there have been a couple of perfumes that have made my way to my heart and here I will go in depth as to what they are and why.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White: Described as a "feminine scent with dark sophistication," Nirvana white is simply one of my favourites for it's pretty but distinctive scent. It's main components include: peony, muguet and musk. It's the perfect balance of both feminine with that dash of edge.

I was initially intrigued with this perfume to begin with because I've been an avid Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen follower for a big part of my childhood (I'm still partially bummed they won't be making an appearance on Fuller House, but what can you do!). And to see what they've achieved and transitioned into has been impressive. I knew this wouldn't be a let down.

They also have the Black version which is a bit more stronger for my liking, but nevertheless the epitome of that balance between both feminine and masculine tastes.

They also came with a dry shampoo, and one day I will own it!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream: I remember finishing off Marc Jacobs original Daisy and Daisy Eau So Fresh (Which we will talk about soon!) that I remember somehow mentioning this to my parents. And what do you know, on one Christmas, it happened! They gave me this gift set that had the lotion and the rollerball included and I loved it!

I tend to love Marc Jacobs perfumes for of course it's scent, but also the packaging. So pretty and so different for each bottle that is very true to what concept each scent has. At one point I want to try all of them but for now the Daisy scents are by far my favourite.

Daisy Dream is described to be more fruity of a scent than the others. There's still those hints of florals, but for what it delivers (even in the packaging) it's more fruity and airy than the others. So if you're looking for something that packs more of that fruity punch, this one is for you!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh: So the original Daisy had been my favourite because well, it's Daisy. Duh. But Eau So Fresh was their next in line in terms of the next perfume being launched, and I think I ended up liking this one just a tad better. But only a little. I just got this one back to my collection after finishing my other bottle some time ago, and then asking it for my latest Christmas gift. Ha. I was stoked to unwrap it and see that I had gotten it. My parents rock, what can I say.

I think the reason why I loved it so much was because for some odd reason, this one tends to last longer than the original one did. I can still catch the scent on my clothes sometimes, or on my scarves. Just in general. Daisy Eau So Fresh is exactly what the name of it states. It's a bit more refreshing and lighter. More playful. A bit more stronger than the original, but still keeps in line with not being so powerful that my head becomes dizzy.

I also love the design in bottle with the shades of pink added throughout.

Versace Bright Crystal: Bright Crystal is described to be a floral scent mixed in with a musk. I tend to go for floral scents, if you haven't noticed by now. But, I like this one because it's that perfect mix of everything without again, being so overpowering. It smells sweet and lovely. It's described to be a fresh, sensual and luminous and yep, it definitely smells like all those three things if you could just bottle it up.

I'm almost half way done and I have plans on buying another small bottle to have in my collection because it is that good.

I tend to really go for specific ones on certain days and switch it up, or frankly, mix it up altogether sometimes too. I don't particularly have a signature scent, but I do know it would have something floral, fresh and playful into the mix and that's what all these perfumes do.

And for that, I'm a very happy camper, that smells good. Always.
