Mood Board: Summer Sunsets (MEGA Magazine)

Today's post is going to be dedicated to a magazine cover shoot that I am still in awe with. I say this because this was released last September as their cover story featuring Filipina showbiz beauties, Erich Gonzales, Maja Salvador, Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Barretto. The magazine is MEGA Magazine and it's something I still refer to for beauty, outfit, hair inspiration because it is just that good.

Shot on location in South Africa, everything about this shoot is gorgeous. Shot beautifully and styled to perfection, I'm such a fan of it because it encompasses everything I love in terms of make up, hair, and outfit choices.

I love how the styling of each individual compliments the vivid backdrop and how everything seems to flow with one another. The earthy tones, the brown hues, the nature of it focusing on the outdoors! These are the shades I love a lot because they're always those neutrals that can go with everything and still remain chic and stylish without having it be really dramatic/edgy. It seamlessly goes together without trying so hard! There's such an effortless feel with what they've went for here, and that's what I always strive for in my styling/beauty choices. Natural, simple, but something with a sophisticated edge. And these shots show that!

With the outfits, the hair and make up = equally gorgeous. I love the smoked out eyes, and the sultry nude lips on each of them. What's also prominent are the strong brows and of course the hair! I have always wanted to change my jet-black hair into something a bit lighter and brown, but never had the courage to do so! It's something I'm still debating about in my head, but ugh, seeing them here and seeing how the lighter hair looks on them, is getting me convinced I should just risk it and do it. Will I?! I don't know, I'll let you know. One day.

Anyway, as seen above, the make up is what I love to emulate on a daily basis. Something that's maybe dramatic for some, but because of the brown/nude hues, it's something that is wearable on a day to day basis and isn't as harsh! Now, I have no idea what make up products were actually used with this shoot, but what I love about it are the lips and that subtle bronzed, golden look that looks so pretty and luminious. Here are my picks (literally also in my own collection) that I wanted to add in here to help you see how you too, can emulate that peachy, natural, bronzed glow no matter what season, but most especially the Summer. I know with these ones in particular, they are my definite choices to achieve that look!

This and some good old brown shades in the crease of your eye, smudged out brown eyeliner or shadow on the bottom lash line, and the perfect mascara? You're good to go! Up above, all the photos are photographed by Mark Nicdao and the make up is by Robbie Pinera! Shot beautifully and the make up is just as stunning. They all look so good and all that inspiration! I'll definitely be back for more mood boards for style and make up in the future! See you in the next post!
