What I'm Loving #5: Leave Your Mark, P.S. I Still Love You & Beauty Bits

Welcome to another round of What I'm Loving, chapter five! Or as I like to say, "Shop now, cry later..." That's okay. I'm a firm believer in that "Treat yourself!" motto and I have yet to wind down from that! Again, more beauty, less fashion but a few new things I have yet to embark upon on here and that is books! I am adding two books that I love and are still reading but couldn't wait any longer to rave about. So, let's get started!

Leave Your Mark: Land Your Dream Job. Kill It in Your Career. Rock Social Media by Aliza Licht: Alright, this one I'm still currently reading, I'm a bit after halfway and this book is just what I needed!  I love it and so glad I have it in my personal library to always refer to!

Written by Aliza Licht, who is a global fashion communications executive and gained popularity from Twitter as @ DKNY PR GIRL, this is a book meant to inspire, mentor, and push those who are in need of guidance and motivation to land that killer job we all aspire to have. Filled with quick tips, advice, and insider stories Aliza herself experienced, it's a fun ride filled with many lessons to learn from and gain from! I'm always for those girl boss stories killing it in their careers, and there are so many of them, so to see how it all came to be and what it took to get there? Inspiring, empowering and motivating.

For someone too, struggling to keep it together and trying to figure what I truly want to do,  this was the book to sit down and reflect on my choices. After reading a couple of chapters midway already got me thinking of what to do, where to go and how to get there! I still don't know what's out there for me, but I do know with patience, a lot of hard work, and constantly learning and getting inspired? I can get there. The future is filled with infinite possibilities and thanks to this book? It's a reminder that it can happen.

P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han: So this book is the first one I couldn't wait to read and was the the one I immediately read first because I couldn't wait any longer. I had pre-ordered it because I needed it badly in my life. As soon as my books delivered I read this one in one night and ugh, I need to just re-read everything to take it all in again.

P.S. I Still Love You is the sequel to Jenny Han's To All The Boys I've Loved Before and that one is my absolute favourite! In case you don't know about the first one, the first one is about a teenage girl named Lara Jean Song who finds out her love letters to all the boys she's truly loved are mysteriously sent to them. Now these letters, that were never even supposed to be seen to begin with, have been exposed to them, and pretty much she's in a pickle. What does she do?! Suspense!

So the second one is the sequel and continues right after the first one and without giving too much away it's about Lara Jean actually now facing being in love and in a relationship, and what comes with that. The good and the complicated. The first one was an absolute favourite and the second one was just as great. Just what I needed. I just love Lara Jean as a character. I love her family and her love for fashion, scrap booking and baked goods. She's my kind of gal and honestly such a style muse.

Sephora Collection's Breakups to Makeups bag:  I'm all for being organized and being organized means also having different compartments for your things. This is one of them and I had to buy it because a) it's useful b) look at that slogan and the design!

I fell in love with everything about it and knew I would have been so disappointed if I didn't end up buying one of them because they are a limited time collection. I liked this motto most because it's true! Life is short! Don't waste negative energy on anything and live life. Make up and all. Besides the design and style, this also seems so durable and compact for travel. Whether it's for make up, trinkets to keep your stuff in your bag safe, or even brushes too, it seems like it will last a long time.

Stila All Over Shimmer Duo in Kitten: I feel like none of my beauty favourites would be complete without mentioning a highlighter of some choice. As far as I know, Stila's Kitten is the most coveted or a classic. It's that type of shade that is just so pretty and has the right amount of shimmer but can still be seen and add that emphasis to highlight well. I saw this duo and had to have it because it would be a great as an eyeshadow. It can also be used on your cheekbones to highlight there but I love it for a simple, fresh eye shadow look. Also I love highlighting my brow bones, and inner corners of my eyes with this as well.

Blender Cleanser Solid:  I was always one to just wash my make up brushes with dish soap and water, but this changed the game for me. I have the beauty blender, and I remember cleaning it normally as I have been, but not really impressed with how clean it got. I remember redeeming 100 points from Sephora for a sample for the beauty cleanser. I tried it out for the first time on all of my brushes and beauty blender?! I was amazed at how quick and clean they all got. Much more effective than soap did. I am currently almost out of that mini-solid sample, so I knew eventually I had to get the full sized. It's great too because this one has a container to place it in afterwards so it won't get too gross or messy when it's still wet.

Kat Von D's Ink Liner in Dali: Now that it's the Summer time, what's so appropriate with make up is to really have fun with it. A great way to do that without going to extreme, in case you're a bit uncomfortable with it, is to switch up a tiny element and turn it into a standout. Instead of a bold, bright lip that people tend to love, you can also do it with your eye liner and mascara! I love, love, love, Kat Von D's liquid eyeliner in Trooper so finding out that she released more colours was a given purchase. I bought the navy one called Baudelaire and this one, Dali, but I think I love the teal one a bit more. I really also want to get the brown one, but one step at at time! The teal just adds that pop of colour that's so pretty for the warmer weather! Do it with a nice cat-eye? You're set!

Bite Beauty's Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Léché: This is my first time owning a product from Bite Beauty and I am loving it. Described to be a dusty pale pink, this colour is like my own lip colour but better. Something more natural but pigmented enough to be seen. I like the packaging as it is sleek and I love the size! The fact that it's slimmer in size makes putting this on easier because I tend to have more control. It's not as messy and I don't necessarily need a mirror either. The formula is also so creamy and stays matte (like what it states) but it's not drying. Overall it's a great lip product and really thinking of adding more of them to my growing collection as well!

And so it ends! Another group of goodies that have made it on my list to things I love and use and really wanted to share with you! More to come, see you in the next post.
